I vividly remember two things about my first semester at college. The first was being insanely confident I wanted to be a writer. The second was watching a movie in a class that had such an impact on me it made me forget I ever wanted to become a writer. Movies, up until that point, had always been very forgettable to me – movies with familiar characters you’ve seen before, and plots that always followed a well-worn path. This movie, however, blew everything out of the water. I’ve never felt anger, sadness, confusion, and happiness all at the same time towards one character. It made me feel so many things at once, and I loved it. And just like that, writing was a thing of the past. My new passion was to create visual work that produced a reaction in the people who saw it, one they would think about long after the screen turned black.

In the years since, I continue to be inspired every day by artists who give me the same reaction I strive to give my clients. I’ve started my own photography company and I’m working as a freelance video editor. I’ve been hired to photograph multiple weddings, family events, and professional headshots, while also editing video for many businesses throughout Virginia. I’m extremely hard-working, and more importantly, passionate about my work. I hope to expand my company, and continue to grow as an artist. I still have a lot to learn, but I’m dedicated to this career path and I’m excited about working with you in the future!
